USR Indu Samiti has been working for the last two decades to provide education and skill development based education for sustainable development of children with special needs. The Samiti has initiated and run several self-financed and government funded projects during this period with remarkable development in the physical, financial and emotional capabilities of thousands of beneficiaries.

The Samiti has been working since 1998 to empower Divyang children and improve their lives. However, it was registered on 17th March 2000.

Our Vision: To empower children with special needs and integrate them into the mainstream society by promoting their holistic development through education and skill development, ensuring inclusiveness and promoting self-reliance.

Our Mission: Our aim is to provide sustainable education, skill development and emotional support to give a better future to the lives of Divyang children. Also, to create an inclusive society where children with special needs can thrive, by ensuring access to education, healthcare and necessary developmental resources.

Our Programs: To fulfil its mission samiti has been running “THE Janet Sheed Roberts Residential School for Special Need Children.” School dedicated to PWDs is divided into three departments.

Educational: Special Educators specialized in the respective fields along with volunteers and part time physiotherapists, speech therapists and caretakers provide a healthy learning environment to differently abled children belonging to the categories of Intellectual Disability, Hearing Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disability and physically challenged.
Residential: Residential facility along with healthy meals is provided to the students. Daily extra-curricular activities are designed by Hostel warden to keep the students fresh and shining all the time.
Vocational Training: Vocational training is provided to the students to make them self-reliant. Skill centre at JSR have Computer lab, Sewing and Tailoring Lab, Electronics Lab, Sanitary and Plumbing Lab, Beauty Parlour cum Salon, Candle Making Lab and Sweater Machine Room wherein the students are trained in works with respect to their interest.
